About Marcie Dimenstein
Marcie Dimenstein, LCSW
Marcie Dimenstein brings more than thirty years of experience to helping you and your loved one. She spent 25 years in the Behavioral Health Field with individuals with long-term mental illness and addictions. Services included a program with the Agency on Aging of South Central CT providing services to isolated elders in their home.
Her life changed dramatically when her husband was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia. After Jerry’s death it became her mission to assist Elders and their families in finding the joy in their lives by reducing the stress they experienced when searching for resources and trying to manage and coordinate care.
Ms. Dimenstein received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 1982 from Fordham University. She is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Connecticut. She is a professional member of the Aging Life Care Association™. She is a trained Support Group leader for the Alzheimer’s Association of CT.
She currently serves as Vice Chair of Board of Directors for Interfaith Volunteer Care Givers of Greater New Haven and the Advisory Committee of Masonicare Home Based Services Advisory Committee.
